Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 4, 2026

WorldRadio ("WorldRadio", "we", "us") lets you discover and stream live radio stations from around the world on the web and in our mobile apps (together, the "Service"). We built the Service to collect as little personal information as possible. This policy explains what we handle and why.

Information we collect

No account is required to use WorldRadio, and we do not ask for your name, email, or password to listen.

Data stored on your device.Your favorites, recently played stations, selected country, language, and theme are saved locally on your device (in your browser's storage or the app's local storage). This data stays on your device and is not transmitted to us.

Usage analytics. We use privacy-friendly, aggregate analytics to understand how the Service is used (for example, which pages are visited). These analytics do not use cookies to build a profile of you and are not used to identify individual users.

Purchases. If you subscribe to WorldRadio Pro, the transaction is processed by Apple, Google, and our subscription provider (RevenueCat). We receive your subscription status (for example, whether Pro is active) but never your full payment card details.

Advertising (mobile apps). The free tier of our mobile apps shows ads served by Google AdMob, which may use device advertising identifiers to deliver and measure ads. You can limit or reset this identifier in your device settings. The website does not serve ads.

Third-party services

Station listings and stream URLs are provided by the community-run Radio Browser API. When you play a station, your device connects directly to that broadcaster's stream server, which is operated by a third party under its own privacy practices. We also rely on Apple, Google, RevenueCat (billing), and our analytics and advertising providers named above. Each processes data under its own privacy policy.

How we use information

We use the limited information described above to operate and improve the Service, provide and restore purchases, keep the free tier supported through advertising, and diagnose problems. We do not sell your personal information.

Your choices

You can clear your locally stored data at any time by clearing your browser's site data or the app's storage (or by uninstalling the app). On mobile, you can limit ad tracking and reset your advertising identifier through your device's privacy settings.

Children

WorldRadio is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Note that third-party radio streams may contain content that is not suitable for all ages.

Security

We take reasonable measures to protect the Service. All traffic between your device and WorldRadio, and to the station APIs we use, is served over encrypted HTTPS connections.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Service after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
